Bodrum Stone House

Set into a limestone hillside above the Aegean, this private house was designed to disappear into its terrain — low, terraced, and built almost entirely from stone quarried within the province.

The brief called for a home that could stay open to the sea view through the summer heat without relying on mechanical cooling. Deep loggias, cross-ventilation and thick stone walls do most of that work; the mechanical systems are a backup, not the plan.
